Assembly Instructions: Amick Rollaerator™
1. Unpack Your Box
Ensure you have the following components before starting:
- 2 Steel Disks: One with tines mounted; one without.
- 1 Cardboard Packet: Contains 2 steel plates.
- Hardware: Axle bolt, nuts, and a spare U-bolt.
2. Position the Tines
The tines are shipped in reverse to fit the box. You must flip them to the "working" position:
- Loosen the two nuts on a U-bolt to remove the tine.
- Flip the tine so the small beveled end points outward from the disk.
- Set the depth: Position the tine to extend 2 inches from the disk edge (adjustable from 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 inches).
- Secure: Keep the tray (half-pipe) in its original place and tighten the nuts firmly.
3. Assemble the Disks
Tip: This step is easier with a helper to hold the disks steady.
- Prep: Place a short 2×4 board flat on your workbench.
- Stand the Disks: Stand the tined disk vertically so two tines straddle the board. Stand the second disk directly next to it.
- Insert Axle: Slide the axle bolt through the center holes of both disks.
- Secure Plates: Place a steel plate on each end of the axle, followed by a nut on each side.
- Center & Tighten: Finger-tighten until 1/2 inch of axle extends past the nuts on both sides. Once centered, tighten the nuts very firmly.
4. Attach Handlebar & Maintenance
- Mount Handle: Attach the handlebar to the disk axle studs and tighten the coupler nuts firmly.
- Lubricate: Spray grease on the axles inside the handlebar pipes.
- Clean Up: After use, use a wooden dowel to tap dirt out of the tines to prevent rust.
